Dal Vada

A south indian bhajia made of chana dal

Ingredients:


2 cup chana dal
1 large onion
1 big piece of ginger finely chopped
25-30 curry leaves
4-5 green chillies roughly chopped
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Directions:

1) Soak the chana dal in water for 2 hours
2) Coarsely grind the chana dal with chopped chillies and salt
3) Finely chop the ginger and onions and add it to the chana dal paste. Mix in the curry leaves also


4)  Make flat vadas of the batter, make a small hole in between and fry it in oil til its crisp brown
